International Women’s Day – WHU Empowers You!

Get to know the wonderful women at WHU and hear their success stories!

From the first female CEO at a major airline to the founder of a sustainable repair service to the professor of digital marketing working at a technical school—the talented women at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management continue to impress. They take on economic responsibility and are active in the sciences, turn ideas into reality, and help define society, the environment, and the world of research.

With International Women’s Day, observed around the globe every year on March 8, matters of equality come strongly back into focus. Since the beginning, diversity and equal opportunity for all have been central to WHU’s guiding principles. “Supporting women in their careers in the corporate world, empowering them to believe in themselves and to take entrepreneurial risks—exactly that is what we work so hard for,” says Professor Markus Rudolf, Dean of WHU and once mentor for the non-profit Women into Leadership group.

Throughout WHU’s many academic programs, the members of faculty—including those who focus specifically on diversity and female leadership—work hard to impart to their students the skills and the knowledge they need to have a successful career at the executive level. Student clubs such as FEM. – The WHU Female Leadership Initiative or the Ladies@WHU network also support the next generation of women on their management journeys, helping them realize their full potential and establish a strong network. WHU’s goal is clear: Ensuring that people of all sexes and genders have an equal chance to enter a top leadership or management position.
