WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is happy to host the European Accounting Review, 2026 Annual Conference.

European Accounting Review (EAR) is an international scholarly journal of the European Accounting Association (EAA). Devoted to the advancement of accounting knowledge, EAR provides a forum for the publication of high-quality accounting research manuscripts. The journal acknowledges its European origins and the variety of the European accounting research community.
Building on this diversity, EAR is committed to publishing insightful and rigorous papers that contribute substantially to advancing our knowledge of accounting. With an internationally renowned editorial team and outstanding contributors, European Accounting Review is a leading forum for the development of accounting theory and practice.
The Conference
EAR Annual Conference is a scholarly forum for the presentation and discussion of high-quality research papers. In 2026, the EAR Annual Conference will be held in Düsseldorf, and it follows successful prior events of the annual event held most recently in Paris (2025) and Castellon (2024). The EAR 2026 Annual Conference is organized by European Accounting Review with hosting and support by the Accounting Department of WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.
The conference program will include a limited number of papers, each of which will be assigned a discussant. The papers presented at the conference have passed the first round of the EAR’s standard referee process. Subject to satisfactory revision, accepted conference papers will be published in a conference issue of EAR in 2027.

Tickets can be obtained either on the tram itself or at the station. One-way fare: € 1,70 short distance fare, maximum 3 stops (Kurzstrecke).
From Düsseldorf Hbf (main station) take the underground line U 75 in the direction of ‘Eller - Vennhauser Allee’. Disembark at the 2nd stop ‘Kettwiger Straße‘. Take the stairs up to the right hand side exit signposted Kettwiger Strasse and when arriving on Kettwiger Strasse, turn right. Continue (left) onto Erkrather Strasse. You can reach the Schwanenhöfe in around 5 minutes. The WHU sign ahead of you on the left hand side (on the Schwanenhöfe signpost) will help you for further directions.

It is approximately a 25 minute ride (10 km) from Düsseldorf Airport DUS to WHU’s Campus Düsseldorf. One-way fare: +/- € 35. From Düsseldorf Hbf (main station) the fare is approximately € 10 one way. Please give the taxi driver the address in addition to the name “Schwanenhöfe.”
Whenever calling a taxi please ask the driver whether he accepts credit cards – not every taxi will.
Rental cars can easily be booked at Düsseldorf International Airport and at Düsseldorf Central Station via Europcar.
