This workshop is designed for students who are interested in the environmental and social challenges our society and planet are facing today and how these developments are influencing the established businesses and the business models of the future.

The goal of the workshop is to motivate future leaders to integrate social and environmental issues from the first day, when launching new business projects in the corporate context or founding new ventures on their own. The workshop aims to show that profit making can and should be in symbiosis with the environment and society right from the start (people, plant, profit). Indeed, there is a rising consumer interest in the brands, which serve a social purpose - a development, which offers interesting opportunities for new business formation.

With a special focus on food and fashion industries, this workshop lies at the intersection between Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Entrepreneurship topics. Representatives from established organizations and startups will contribute the course and engage its participants in practical as well as philosophical discussion.

Key themes of the course:

  • Sustainable Development Goals
  • Social Entrepreneurship
  • Open Innovation
  • Circular Economy
  • Sharing Economy
  • Impact Finance
