Course content
The course provides an introduction into the challenges and opportunities associated with the management of an international business. Students will become familiar with the antecedents and processes of going abroad and learn the different ways a global firm can be managed across cultural differences. The course concentrates on the following topics:
- Motives of internationalization
- Market selection
- Entry timing
- Entry modes
- Managing a global business
- Internationalization in family firms and small- and medium-sized enterprises
