Course content
The course concerns German and European securities law. It focuses mainly on the regulation of the various market participants (issuers; investors; intermediaries), trading venues (esp. stock exchanges, multilateral trading systems) and services (including IPOs, securities trading, custody). Market abuse law (insider trading, market manipulation), including ad hoc publicity and so-called managers' transactions, is also of major importance. In addition, the competences of the national and European supervisory authorities are dealt with.
