You will receive an overview about psychological principles of human behavior in organizations and beyond. Among others, the topics covered are:

• Perspectives on human behavior and psychology
• Evolutionary psychology
• Dual process theory
• Personality psychology
• Positive psychology
• Self-control theory and ego depletion
• Habits
• Theories of learning

This class concentrates on the psychological foundations and processes underlying the behavior of individuals and groups in organizations and work environments. The objective of this class lies in providing students with a sound understanding of psychological theories and models of human behavior. Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to employ psychological principles to analyze and understand individuals’ and groups’ behaviors in organizations and the contemporary workplace.
