Short biography:

Since January 1, 2022, Manuel Weber has supported Professor Christian Schlereth as a research assistant at the Chair of Digital Marketing.

Mr. Weber completed his consecutive master’s degree in management (Master of Science) with a focus on business analytics at WHU Vallendar in May 2021. He has already written his final thesis on “Decomposing Long-Term Brand Equity - An Application of Dynamic Linear Models to Measure the Total Advertising Effect on Sales” at the Chair of Digital Marketing. During his bachelor’s and master’s studies at WHU, Mr. Weber also gained practical experience at various companies in the digital economy, including HR software start-up Workmotion, tech venture capitalist Picus Capital, and e-commerce marketplace kaufland.de (formerly real.de).

Mr. Weber’s research interests include AI-based large language models for evaluating customer behavior, sentiment and emotion analysis, evaluation of movement data and customer flows in retail stores, social network analysis, and marketing effectiveness measurement.
