Jan Overberg is a research associate and doctoral student at the Mercator Chair of Demand Management & Sustainable Transport at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management since April 2025. He completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics at the University of Mannheim and a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialisation in Marketing Analytics at Goethe University Frankfurt.
After completing his studies, Jan worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Munich within the Growth, Marketing & Sales practice, focusing on B2B commercial growth. Prior to this, he gained practical experience in various consulting and industrial firms, including Simon-Kucher & Partners, Prof. Roll & Pastuch Management Consultants, MOBIS Parts Europe, and BASF.
His research interests centre on data-driven modelling and optimisation of commercial strategies, with a particular focus on price optimisation, especially within the B2B sector.
