Invited Talk at HEC Paris: Focus on Virtual Markets

On April 17, 2025, Professor Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier was invited by Professor Sam Aflaki to speak at HEC Paris’s Jouy-en-Josas campus. During a workshop hosted by the Operations Management faculty, he presented his research on the simulation of blockchain-based capacity markets for buyers.

His lecture, titled “Behavioral Simulation of Blockchain-Enabled Market for Supplier Capacity Trading among Retailers”, examined retailer behavior on digital platforms for capacity allocation. The study is published as an SSRN Working Paper and has been accepted for publication in Management Science.

The event provided a forum for interdisciplinary exchange among leading scholars in the field of Operations Management.
