Keynote and Talk by Professor Huchzermeier at ESSEC Business School

On April 16, 2025, Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier delivered a keynote and a lecture at the "EcomFin Workshop on the Interface of Operations and Finance" at ESSEC Business School in Paris.

His keynote on integrated risk management explored how predictable risks can be combined with unforeseen uncertainties, and how companies can leverage digital twins of their end-to-end supply chains to enhance supply chain resilience and sustainability.

In his research presentation on virtual markets, Professor Huchzermeier shared current findings from his study “Behavioral Simulation of Blockchain-Enabled Market for Supplier Capacity Trading among Retailers”. The study is available as an SSRN Working Paper and has been accepted for publication in the renowned journal Management Science.

The workshop was organized by Professors Andrea Roncoroni, Felix Papier, and Benoît Chevalier-Roignant (EM Lyon), and facilitated dialogue on latest research at the interface of finance and operations management.
