Students invite executives and policymakers to annual conference for open dialogue on how to lead the way forward
With all the turbulence that the world has endured over the past few years, there is a concerted effort for society to regain stability and balance. But succeeding in this goal can only be made possible if two important facets of larger society—politics and the economy—work in tandem. For twenty years, forumWHU, the annual German-language student congress at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, has made it its mission to explore how these two worlds intersect by bringing students together with active policymakers and prominent business leaders. This year’s conference, billed as “Global Challenges: Politics and Economy Hand in Hand,” will take place from November 22 – 23, 2024, at the Stadthalle in Vallendar. It will offer participants an exclusive opportunity to dialogue with experts about how to conduct socially responsible business.
The roster of guest speakers scheduled to appear at this year’s event represent the political sphere at all levels, from local to federal. And they will be joined by highly experienced businesspersons active in real estate, technology, and energy production. These include His ExcellencyDr. Daniel Risch (Prime Minister of Liechtenstein), Dr. Ralph Alexander Lorz (Minister of Finance in Hesse), Jan Rinnert (CEO of Heraeus Group), Katja van Doren (Head of Human Resources at RWE AG), and many more.
The two-day event will also feature a career fair and a series of fireside chats before concluding with a gala dinner, followed by an after party held at Namedy Castle.
