Professor Harm H. Schütt returns to WHU as the school’s new Professor of Financial Accounting
WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management would like to give a warm welcome to Dr. Harm H. Schütt, Professor of Financial Accounting as of September 1, 2024. Professor Schütt has worked both at the undergraduate and graduate level, most recently at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management in the Netherlands, where he received the Best MSc Teacher Award in 2022. His internationally oriented mindset and proven track record—both as an educator and as a researcher in his own right—reflect WHU’s own core values. He has published works in top-tier journals and presented at prominent conferences and seminars, including those held at WHU.
After earning his Diplom from the Ruhr University Bochum, as well as working as an analyst for Sal Oppenheim in Frankfurt am Main, Professor Schütt relocated to the United States to earn his doctorate from the University of Berkeley in California. Upon competition of his doctoral studies in 2013, he taught at WHU as a junior professor and worked as a postdoctoral researcher for the LMU Munich School of Management.
WHU wishes Professor Schütt a smooth return to campus, a successful start with his new full professorship, and is sure that he will be an asset to the faculty and the students under his tutelage.
