Course content
The first part of the course deals with internationalization from a macro-economic view. We will discuss the reasons for engaging in global trade and the different forms of foreign direct investments. An introduction into exchange rates will close the first part of the course. The second part provides an overview of the challenges and opportunities associated with the management of an international business. Students will become familiar with the antecedents and processes of going abroad and learn the different ways a global firm can be managed across cultural differences.
