Financing Options

Tuition Fees and deadlines

The total fee for the Full-Time MBA program is € 37,800. From April 2019, the tuition fees will amount to € 39,000

Included in Tuition fees:

  • All tuition fees
  • All books and materials
  • Accommodation and half-board during the international module
  • German classes throughout the program
  • Personal development seminars
  • Semester ticket for public transport in North Rhine-Westphalia

Candidates who have submitted their full application (including TOEFL/IELTS and GMAT/GRE scores) early will benefit from our Early Bird offer. See below:

For the April 2019 intake:
1st Early Bird Deadline: 31st of August à 5.000 EUR reduction
2nd Early Bird Deadline: 31st of October à 3.000 EUR reduction

For the September 2019 intake:
1st Early Bird Deadline: 31st of January à 5.000 EUR reduction
2nd Early Bird Deadline: 31st of March à 3.000 EUR reduction

Information for taxpayers in Germany (also applies to international MBA graduates working in Germany after graduation): the tuition fees for the MBA Program are tax deductible as anticipated professional expenses. For detailed information please contact your legal tax advisor.

Terms of Payment Intake 2018

  • Upon acceptance of the offer, a deposit of €5,000 is due to secure your spot in the program.
  • The second installment of €16,400 is due at the start of the program (April or September).
  • The third installment of €16,400 is due six months after the start of the program.

Terms of Payment Intake 2019

  • From April 2019, the tuition fees will amount to €39,000.
  • Upon acceptance of the offer, a deposit of €5,000 is due to secure your spot in the program.
  • The second installment of €17,000 is due at the start of the program (April or September).
  • The third installment of €17,000 is due six months after the start of the program.

Living Expenses

Living costs in Düsseldorf are about €750-800 per month.

Deutsche Bildung AG offers tailor-made financial support to German as well as international students combined with the online platform WissenPlus. More information on www.deutsche-bildung.de/studienkredit

Within the framework of the national scholarship program “Deutschlandstipendium”, WHU grants every fall semester annual scholarships to students who are especially talented, skilled, and dedicated and who distinguish themselves throughout outstanding social and societal commitment. The scholarships are funded in equal shares by the Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF) and by private donors such as companies, foundations and single individuals. The scholarships amount to 300 Euros per month each and are granted for a period of twelve months with the possibility of extension. For more information click here.

WHU grants scholarships to enable highly talented candidates from all countries to pursue the WHU MBA. According to the description of the respective scholarship, we try to support individuals who are likely to add special value to the MBA class. The WHU scholarships are not bound to a certain amount (exemption: WHU e-fellows.net Scholarship). The admissions comittee grants scholarships based on various criteria. 
To apply for a scholarship, please use the respective scholarship application form which can be downloaded on this page. Please note that only one scholarship application per person is possible and that scholarship application requires an application for the Full-Time MBA Program at WHU. Seats in the program as well as scholarships are limited and granted on an ongoing basis. Therefore we recommend early application. After having completed your application to the program please send your scholarship application to mba@whu.edu.
Alumni of e-fellows.net and participants from the e-fellows MBA Day may apply for the partial scholarship of the value of €10,000. For more information please click here.
